If you’re from the area, you know where Bucky’s is. Formally known as Calumet Waterworks, this beach is located along Lakeshore Drive. Well, last weekend, my daughter, Carissa, asked me to go rock picking with her there…at 6:30 in the MORNING.

Actually, I’m happy she asked me to go with her. While I didn’t collect any rocks, I got to watch the sun rise. Gorgeous!

I did a lot of walking and soaking in the beauty. I even developed a new-found appreciation of the beauty of rocks.

Bucky’s is such a beautiful, typically quiet spot. It’s always a good idea to spend time outside, preferably near the water. It’s good for the soul.
